The
brocading technique is accomplished by lifting
individual threads above the rest as they are woven, creating a raised,
3-dimensional effect.

Lettering
The art of weaving names, dates, initials & phrases into
straps or garters is another old art-form.
My style of lettering is reproduced
from a wool sash attached to a powder horn dating October 16, 1755.
