Please note: Many of my patterns are interpretations based on remnants, sketches, descriptions or photos of originals I have been lucky enough to find documentation for.  Although there are a few originals that can be tied to a specific tribe or region, I have found that many pattern and color elements were used throughout the early American frontier; most likely due to trading and/or raiding.  Combinations of diagonals, chevrons, zigzags, checks, speckles, stripes, diamonds, & arrows were commonplace.  Therefore most of my patterns consist of different combinations of these designs.  Unfortunately, as colors fade over 250 years, an educated guess is necessary in most cases to determine true color combinations with original pieces.  Although the "Fort Pitt" & the "Original Sash" are the exceptions here as the originals were very well preserved.

3 Documented patterns: Iroquois, Great Lakes,
