  ~Shayna L. Matthews~

My Interest in history was initiated at the early age of 3. Since then I have traveled to many Eastern Woodlands & various 18th Century related events throughout the East Coast. Growing up in reenacting, history is in my blood. I have also come to learn that the art of weaving is also in my blood; one of my ancestors who came to the Americas early from Wales was a skilled weaver by profession. It only goes to show that history does repeat itself. May the legacies of our forefathers be preserved!

I am thrilled to announce my marriage July 9th, 2005!

Photos taken by my family of our wedding day, while we decided to have a modern wedding, we chose Historic Rock Ford Plantation for the event, and we were blessed to have a few of our close friends as members of my 18th Century Honor Guard. The weather was perfect and it was a beautiful day for everyone.
