I have begun yet another style of weaving for creating hand-woven straps and sashes; a method new to me, but very old in history. My "harness" loom is basically a smaller version of the large barn looms that were used often in the 18th century for weaving cloth, blankets and other textiles. With it I am creating beautiful accoutrement straps and sashes. The look is quite different from the inkle weaving, brocading and cardweaving on the other pages of this website, but just as useful.
