This strap is one of my personal favorites; woven in gray wool with natural wool borders, and the design of chevrons (used frequently in the 18th century) is woven in a heathered blue raw silk. The colors and design in this strap creates a very natural and pleasing effect to the eye. It will be perfect for any powder horn, hunting bag or shooting pouch as well as any other accoutrement. Dimensions are 53" long x 2 3/4" wide. SOLD

I have begun yet another style of weaving for creating hand-woven straps and sashes; a method new to me, but very old in history. My "harness" loom is basically a smaller version of the large barn looms that were used often in the 18th century for weaving cloth, blankets and other textiles. With it I am creating beautiful accoutrement straps and sashes. The look is quite different from the inkle weaving, brocading and cardweaving on the other pages of this website, but just as beautiful & as useful. BEAUTIFUL Diamond design woven accoutrement strap; perfect for hunting bags, shooting pouches, powder horns, canteens as well as any other accoutrement.
